To be fair, Rudeus encountered one of the most powerful beings in the world who almost killed him, and then there's what Eris did. It's not surprising that he's not feeling so great. He'll make up for it by the end of the story although I don't know when that point could get animated. We're about to enter the school arc but he's not going to be doing anything much regarding Orstred and Hitogami for a few in-universe years which probably amounts to another year or two before we see it animated at leas.t

nnnnot a fan of the timeline changes in this episode, but not too bad a change and makes sense to keep the pace up, so oh well.

And so finally, we head towards the final arc. And boy what a loooooong arc that´ll be, taking nearly an entire third of the runtime... but not like the final dungeon in JRPGs was ever not that long!

What changes were made ?

popp´s depresion episode(and the whole thing with the glowing stones really) was supposed to happen after the cave and meant to be immediately followed up with a "I´m shaken but I can put up a fight" moment. That´s because it ties in to another event that I´m guessing they´ll accelerate since it´s not THAT important to the plot, and they wanted to animate this one part properly without cutting from it.

if i remember correctly this spell well like save everyones lives and actually WORK in like 2 or 3 times i think in the upcomming arc

It really do be sad how the plot kind of hand-waved it away, yeah. Makes sense that such a one-shot wonder couldn´t be allowed to work else it´d be too easy, but it´d have been nice to explicitly depict enemies as being wary of him and making countermeasures for that spell as a priority during engagements.

Which technically they do, it´s just kinda taken as granted.

That was fking stupid they could have brought more fighter to finish the dungeon faster.
